Come join Missouri Quail Forever and wildHERness in January to do just that!!
Women 18+ who are NEW to quail hunting are invited to our Women’s Learn to Quail Hunt Weekend! Taking place January 27th-29th at Missouri Hunting & Fishing Adventures Deer Creek Lodge near Edwards, MO, this hands-on event will introduce ladies to quail hunting basics, teach new skills related to shooting and hunting, and provide an opportunity to put those skills to work in the field on a mentored quail hunt!
On Friday evening, you will arrive to the lodge for a welcome session followed by a delicious wild game dinner and time to socialize. Saturday we'll build the groundwork before the hunt: quail habitat & biology, rules & regulations for quail hunting, upland hunting gear & equipment session (go home with new gear!), hunter ethics, firearm safety refresher, wingshooting practice with clay birds, field dressing a gamebird, finding places to hunt, and more! Sunday morning is the mentored hunt – you’ll be paired with a knowledgeable mentor in the field and hunt behind trained bird dogs! Ladies will have the opportunity to harvest up to 4 quail during the hunt.
Registration for this Learn to Hunt Quail Weekend is only $125! What is included for the cost? TONS!! Your registration fee includes: 2 nights lodging at the Deer Creek Lodge (bunk beds in shared rooms), all meals, drinks & snacks, learning sessions and a mentored quail hunt with up to 4 birds, basic upland hunting gear to take home, and 1-year membership to Quail Forever!
